New champions have been crowned.

The February 7 episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by Sting and Darby Allin challenging Ricky Starks and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Champion in a Tornado Tag match.

With the lack of rules in mind, the action quickly spilled out of the ring and into the crowd where Sting jumped off a balcony at one point. When they eventually moved back to the ring, Sting made the save for Allin until Starks hit Sting with a Scorpion Death Drop.

Toward the end, Allin and Bill went crashing through a table at ringside while Sting trapped Starks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Starks managed to break out of it and speared Sting for a nearfall. Sting then got back up to his feet and hit Starks with one more Scorpion Death Drop for the three-count.

Post-match, Sting’s two sons entered the ring to help celebrate before The Young Bucks attacked everyone with a white baseball bat to send a message.

While not yet confirmed, it appears that Sting’s retirement match will likely be Sting and Allin defending the AEW Tag Team titles against The Young Bucks at Revolution.
