Racing Club de Strasbourg will remain one of the most active teams in this 2024 off-season.
In a context marked by the TV rights crisis, it is a club that has stood out in the landscape. Not necessarily cited among the credible outsiders in the French championship, the Racing Club of Strasbourg has nevertheless given itself the means to achieve its ambitions.
The Alsatian club has been very aggressive on the transfer market this summer. Owned by the BlueCo consortium, Strasbourg has taken a 180 degree turn in its project. In total, the Alsatian team has registered around fifteen reinforcements during this summer window.
Strasbourg: a new recruit arrives
Racing’s latest signing is perhaps the most resounding. In the shadow of Chelsea, the Alsatian club has announced the arrival of goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic. The latter arrives directly from the London team, in the form of a loan.
A strategy fully assumed by Strasbourg, which had already obtained two Chelsea players on loan: Caleb Wiley and Andrey Santos. Racing was looking for a new starting goalkeeper for this 2023-24 season. By midnight, there will be no more loans between these two clubs since the limit authorized between two entities has been reached.
