Once again called up by Didier Deschamps, William Saliba can count on the support of the French coach despite his difficult match against Germany.
Three months before the start of the Euro, there is little uncertainty regarding the group of 23 which will be convened by Didier Deschamps next May. In central defense, Ibrahima Konaté, Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez and William Saliba are certain starters barring injury.
The Arsenal central defender, however, has his sluggish performance against Germany last September against him. But the French coach retains all confidence in the former Stéphanois.
“He's having a good season, some very good matches, others a little less well. He is one of the best teams in the Premier League with Arsenal. William brings a lot of guarantees. He didn't have a huge amount of playing time with us. But because he does with his club and what he is capable of doing, he is called with us. There is competition but he is one of the four”he confided at a press conference.
