Jesse Armstrong, the creator of the HBO series Succession, is working on his first-ever movie! The Emmy-winning writer will make his feature film directorial debut with a new movie that will debut on HBO in spring 2025. The untitled project will star Steve Carell and more cast members have also been announced. There will be a tight turnaround for the project as it’s first starting filming this month in Park City, Utah, according to Variety. The movie “follows a group of billionaire friends who get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis.” Jesse said in a statement, “I’m intrigued to discover whether being around so many brilliant actors and directors on Succession has in any way rubbed off on me. Let’s hope so.
