Fox will be airing the 2025 Super Bowl in February of 2025, and they just announced a major change to the Super Bowl Sunday TV show lineup.

Rescue: HI-Surf‘s Super Bowl episode will now air in its regular Monday night timeslot. Since the episode was already filmed, it’s an extra long episode. It hasn’t made as big of a splash as Fox anticipated, but Deadline describes the ratings as “solid” and said there’s a good shot at a renewal based on Hulu streams as well.

Instead, season three of The Floor will take on the post-Super Bowl timeslot. The Rob Lowe-hosted game show is thought to be able to pull in younger demographics and family audiences more than Rescue, hence the change.

They added that Fox thought it “would be a better platform to launch the new season of The Floor, trying to bring in untapped family viewing to the show while keeping Rescue HI-Surf‘s regular schedule.”

It was also announced that Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl, which will be taking place on February 9, 2025 at Caesars Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. We won’t know which 2 teams are playing in the Super Bowl until after the AFC and NFC championship games in January of 2025.
