Supernatural's DJ Qualls Talks Coming Out in Hollywood, Reveals When He Did & Why

DJ Qualls opened up about his experience coming out while in Hollywood.

The 46-year-old actor, who you’ll remember as the werewolf Garth on Supernatural, recently revealed that he came out privately in his late teens. However, it wasn’t until much later that he came out at work, and then in 2020 he came out to the public.

He continued, saying, “I wouldn’t correct you in front of a group of people.” Instead, he told them privately.

The actor added that he came to the realization that he “deserve[d] respect because [he gave] it.”

If you missed it, earlier this year we learned that DJ was engaged to one of his former Supernatural costars!
