While he was announced to be close to RC Lens, former French international Raphaël Varane could finally return to Spain.

Leaving MU at the end of the season, Raphaël Varane is likely to return to the Spanish capital. Not to sign for Real, but in favor of rival Atlético.

Varane will play his final match with the Red Devils next Saturday in the FA Cup final. Rumors have suggested that he could return to his training club Lens. Today, the strong trend would rather be towards an engagement with the Matelassiers.

Varane makes a pact with the enemy

Eduardo Inda, the editor-in-chief of Okdiario, revealed in El Chiringuito that there is a player who is living in Madrid again: “There is a player who lives in Madrid again. He spent many years in Madrid and left many good memories. His contract with the club he is currently at expires on June 30 and he returns to Madrid. There’s a team in the capital that loves him and it’s not the one he played for before. It’s Raphaël Varane.”

Asked about the state of negotiations between the two parties, Inda replied: “They’re talking, I’m not saying he wants to leave. He wants to return to Madrid and I was told that Atlético would be interested. Savic is leaving and they will have to replace several players.”
