Suspected gunmen attack LP youth chairman in Edo

The Youth Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area in Edo State, Mr. Osagie Odigie, was attacked on Tuesday in Benin by suspected gunmen.

The development is coming three months before the conduct of the governorship election in the state, scheduled to take place on September 19, 2024.

It was gathered that the alleged attack occurred at Odigie’s residence in Benin, the Edo State capital.

Details of the attack remain sketchy, but sources said the gunshot victim had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
