The rivalry between Swerve Strickland and AEW World Champion Samoa Joe seems to be far from over. After retaining the AEW World Title at the Revolution pay-per-view, the Samoan Submission Machine continued to create pain on Strickland by choking him out on last week’s episode of Dynamite. On this week’s episode of AEW Big Business, the Mogul Affiliates leader attempted to get his revenge but was stopped by security.
Following the attack, Swerve Strickland had a special message for Samoa Joe.
“Now see Joe, when you put hands on someone, you can’t be really surprised how they are going to retaliate or how they are going to react to things you know? And it’s not always going to be a fair fight. It’s not going to be even kill, equal opportunity. No! If you slap someone don’t be afraid and don’t be surprised when they come at you with a car and try to mow you down. And that’s what it was. You choked me out last week on Dynamite.
“So I came at you with a chain that I was ready to wrap around your neck until your face turned blue and your head popped off. I realize, playing fair just doesn’t work around here. I learned that a long time ago. It’s not going to be even. It’s never going to be an even fair fight with you. Especially when it comes to that AEW World Championship. I’m going to have to get a little more dirty, I’m gonna have to resort to some old tactics. You bring that out of me. The championship brings that out of me. I ain’t a killer but don’t push me. No. I am a killer. I dare you to push me Joe,” Swerve Strickland said.
Will Strickland dethrone Samoa Joe?
