AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will compete in the Blood & Guts match on the July 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On the July 17 episode, Strickland came to the ring after Bryan Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament to earn a world title shot at AEW All In. Strickland addressed his win at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and looked forward to facing Danielson.
Swerve Strickland then announced that he would be joining Team AEW in the Blood & Guts match against The Elite, as you could not have Team AEW without the world champion. Strickland said that he would outdo Danielson by beating Ospreay and defeating The Elite.
Strickland also set his sights on AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada and challenged him to a match, noting that he would show him how to make it rain.
