Swerve Strickland has picked four men who could back him up in a bar fight.

The former AEW Champion has shown himself more than capable in any kind of fight in AEW. His series of matches with Adam Page were some of the mos brutal in AEW history, but even Swerve Strickland would need back up in a large-scale bar fight.

Swerve Strickland appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, where he was asked to pick his team of four wrestlers to join him in a bar fight.

The former AEW Champion immediately chose Eddie Kingston and Samoa Joe has “big guys”, before adding Darby Allin. He joked that Allin would be jumping off the bar, and that nobody would be able to hurt him.

Finally, he rounded out the team with former AEW star Jake Hager. Hager was an All-American in amateur wrestling, while also fighting in Bellator in MMA.

“I’m bringing Eddie Kingston. Kingston fights dirty — I like that. I need someone who’s going to move the crowd, move the people. Then there’s Samoa Joe. With Joe, you just look at him wrong and you already know you’ve lost. I need two more people.

I’ve got my big guys, now I need a wingman — someone who’s going to come from the side, quick. Like Darby. Darby’s going to throw his body at someone, no hesitation. He’s jumping off the bar or something, landing right on somebody. Darby is scrappy. You can’t hurt Darby. And Jake Hager? Shout out to Hager — he’s got reach too.”

Samoa Joe inclusion was the second time he’s been chosen for this question. CM Punk picked Samoa Joe for his bar fight team, as well as three other WWE wrestlers.
