The World Title is often the most important part of any wrestling promotion as the company is usually built around the person who holds that championship. Someone winning a World Title for the first time could be rather interesting and start a new direction for the promotion. It seems that AEW might have changed their mind about changing their World Title.

This week on AEW Dynamite, a change was made to the upcoming Grand Slam card, with Darby Allin’s World Title shot against Bryan Danielson being changed to a match against Jon Moxley with the title match on the line. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the winner will challenge Danielson for the World Title at WrestleDream. At one point, Allin was planed to win the match and title at WrestleDream, but it is not clear if that is still the plan, as Moxley is considered a hotter opponent for Danielson at the moment.
It’s a messy situation. Check out the three people in question:
Opinion: This is one of the weirder situations in AEW as Allin went from being the #1 contender with a title match set up to possibly not even getting his title shot while Danielson is doing something else. Hopefully AEW figures out another way around this, as there is always a chance that Allin could get the title down the line. Allin is one of the most interesting stars in AEW and it would be nice to see him getting to the top of the company.
