Vince McMahon was hit with serious allegations of sexual trafficking and misconduct from ex-WWE employee Janel Grant and it ensured that McMahon was gone from WWE for good ad now Sycho Sid believes he has a much better chance at a WWE Hall of Fame induction with McMahon gone.
After the sexual trafficking lawsuit, Vince McMahon officially resigned from WWE and TKO Holdings and even TKO COO Mark Shapiro made it clear that Vince McMahon will never return to WWE.
While speaking during an interview with the Attitude Era Podcast, Sycho Sid talked about the possibility of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Sid, who hasn’t been a mainstream presence in wrestling for over two decades, revealed that WWE still has him under contract, which he thinks could be a factor in a potential Hall of Fame induction.
Sid speculated that with Vince McMahon no longer in charge, the current WWE leadership might see value in honoring him, noting that it could be mutually beneficial. He also expressed interest in possibly working with WWE in a part-time capacity, suggesting roles such as a manager or offering his expertise in interviews, an area where he believes he excels.
“You’d think that they would offer that. Again, Vince [McMahon] didn’t like me so much; I think that’s why they haven’t offered me that. But, with Vince being gone now, you’d think those people would say, ‘Hey, this guy, we still got him on contract. He is still making a little bit of money. It would help him if we did that,’ and it would help them as well. You would think they might want to do everything they could to promote something like that. That might be something fun to start, too. If you get back in, you might want to do something like a part-time deal, [be a] manager, or special — I think I was pretty good at interviews, too. There’s always a lot of people having a hard time with that. If I could teach them, maybe I could help them do their interviews.”
We will have to wait and see whether Sycho Sid will end up getting a WWE Hall of Fame induction somewhere down the line, as many fans feel he more than deserves it by now as well.
