WWE consistently looks forward to delivering top-notch content for its fans, particularly with a focus on their Premium Live Events. Reports suggested WWE was trying to get Sylvester Stallone to appear at WrestleMania 40, but that plan is already facing a huge hurdle.
WrestleMania 40 is scheduled to take over Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th, 2024. The Showcase of the Immortals vows to present a packed two-night event in Philly.
As previously reported, WWE is interested in working with Sylvester Stallone for an appearance at WrestleMania 40. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE and Stallone have already had talks for an appearance at WrestleMania 40, given the connection of the Rocky Balboa character to Philadelphia.
However, it was further noted that as of earlier in the week, Stallone cited a scheduling conflict. As a result, the deal hasn’t been finalized, unless the roadblock can be resolved or Stallone expresses interest in doing so.
”Wrestlevotes reported that WWE was talking to Sylvester Stallone about appearing at WrestleMania this year, since the character of Rocky Balboa was based in Philadelphia. Those at WWE have confirmed the talk but said that as of earlier in the week Stallone had said there was a schedule conflict so the deal hasn’t been done unless you can or wants to remove the conflict.”
We will have to see if WWE will end up bringing Sylvester Stallone for WrestleMania 40 by resolving his schedule conflict somehow. After all, Stallone being part of the Show of Shows would make it an instant classic.
