Two noteworthy names have been announced for GCW‘s return to the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Game Changer Wrestling announced that Tajiri will make his GCW debut at The People vs. GCW on January 19. His opponent was not named in the announcement.
Tajiri previously had a run in ECW, and he wrestled for WWE for several years as well. He is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion, among other accolades. He remains active throughout the Japanese wrestling scene.

GCW also confirmed that Masato Tanaka will compete at the show. Tanaka previously had a prominent run in ECW, and he is a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion. He continues to compete in Japan, and he has been working independent dates in the United States.
