Takeover of OM, Saudi Arabia: Zidane breaks the silence!

Zinédine Zidane spoke this week to speak about his future.

It’s a fantasy that has fueled all the debates for several months, on the Canebière: can Zinédine Zidane sit on the bench of Olympique de Marseille in the near future? As things currently stand, an arrival of the French technician seems hardly plausible.

However, this hypothesis would not be excluded if the Marseille club were to switch to another dimension within a few months or a few years. France Bleu Provence indicated at the end of 2023 that the possibility of seeing OM go under the Saudi flag could project the club to an unexpected level. The regional media thus specified that Zidane would be ready to embody this project if he had the means corresponding to his ambitions.

Zidane finally speaks

For his part, the main person concerned has always remained discreet about his future. Although he did not wish to reveal his plans for his future destination, Zinédine Zidane says he wants to find a bench quickly: “It’s still my goal to become a coach again. Here I take a little more time to do other things. But it’s the goal to come back“, he said in comments taken up by beIN SPORTS.

An outing confirming the impression of his friend Christophe Dugarry, who had commented on his refusal to take over from Djamel Belmadi on the bench of the Algerian selection. “Although nothing is impossible, I understand his position. I don’t have any info but I think he must have something up his sleeve. Honestly, I don’t have any information, it’s a feeling, maybe he has something. All the selections and all the clubs in the world would like to have him“.
