Earlier this week on AEW Dynamite, the Young Bucks aired footage from last year’s All In event, showing CM Punk’s backstage altercation with Jungle Boy. The footage was aired following Punk’s interview on the MMA Hour last week and was tied in with the Bucks’ upcoming Tag Team Title match against FTR. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the backstage reaction to the footage being released has been negative, with people in the company feeling that it is an old wound being opened again. The entire incident was seen as a bad moment in the first place but people had moved past it, only to have it return.
It was a messy moment. Check out the better parts of this week’s Dynamite:
Opinion: Having seen the footage, for the life of me I have no idea what the benefit of this thing was supposed to be. At the end of the day, it was a messy moment for AEW but it was something that took place eight months ago. Punk did talk about it again, but I don’t see why that meant AEW needed to do anything back. For now though, hopefully that is it for the whole thing, as I don’t see how it benefits AEW as a whole.
What do you think of the reaction? Will AEW talk about the footage again? Let us know in the comments below.
