Monday football betting tips

Bet of the day

Nottingham Forest to beat Ipswich Town and both teams to score @ 12/5

It’s been a remarkable season for Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and the Reds can move a step closer to Wembley with victory over strugglers Ipswich on Monday.

The Tractor Boys have bigger concerns than an FA Cup fifth-round tie, as they now find themselves five points off safety in the Premier League standings with games running out.

Nuno has the luxury of a big squad to choose from and that strength in depth will likely be something that Ipswich struggle against.

The visitors do have a goal in them, scoring in each of their last six games in all competitions, so they should find the back of the net, albeit in a probable defeat by the banks of the Trent.

Special of the day

Villarreal v Espanyol: Bet Builder - Villarreal to win and Roberto Fernandez to score anytime @ 6/1

Switching focus to the Estadio de la Ceramica and Villarreal will look to continue their impressive home form when they host Espanyol in La Liga.

The Yellow Submarine have been tough to crack on their own patch, losing just one of their last nine home games in La Liga.

Winning each of their last four meetings with Espanyol, Villarreal look more than capable of making it five wins on the spin against the Parakeets.

Espanyol do have an attacking threat, scoring in each of their last eight games in all competitions.

Roberto Fernandez found the back of the net against Athletic Bilbao last month and might well add to his goal tally on Monday, even if it is in a losing cause.

Long shot of the day

Juventus v Hellas Verona: Bet Builder - Randal Kolo Muani to score anytime, corner handicap: Juventus -4 and over 4.5 total cards @ 21/2

Concluding in Serie A with the Longshot of the Day at odds of 21/2, Juventus will expect to dominate Hellas Verona for a second time this season after a 3-0 win for the Old Lady in their first meeting at the Marcantonio Bentegodi.

Randal Kolo Muani to get on the scoresheet on Monday would come as little surprise, as the Frenchman has scored five goals in five Serie A appearances since joining Juve on loan in January.

The last time Juve hosted Verona, the Old Lady had five corners compared to one from the visitors, and Juventus with a -4 corner handicap can be overcome in this one.

Completing this bet builder, look to over 4.5 total cards being brandished at the Allianz Stadium.

Referee on the night, Matteo Marchetti, dished out six yellow cards in his last game between Venezia and Lazio and over 4.5 cards looks a distinct possibility here.
