Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table has been cut to just two points after back-to-back draws but a win at Tottenham on Sunday will ensure they spend Christmas at the top of the pile.
Spurs have endured a difficult campaign but they did secure a place in the EFL Cup semi-finals on Thursday, and they will face Sunday’s opponents in the last four.
Tottenham have saved their best performances for the big games and, after overcoming Manchester United in midweek, they should head into the visit of Liverpool in a confident mood.

Spurs set to hold up Liverpool charge
It is fair to say that Tottenham have underperformed this season, but at home they have been picking up positive results and, at an odds-against price, they appeal to claim at least a point against Liverpool.
Spurs have beaten Aston Villa and Manchester City, in the League Cup, in North London and they look to be over their slump, having thrashed Southampton 5-0 last Saturday and then backing that up with their midweek win over Manchester United.
Liverpool have drawn their last two Premier League games and they lost at this venue last season. Arne Slot’s side have won just one of their last three league trips, drawing the other two, and their defence has looked vulnerable during that period with seven goals conceded - a somewhat remarkable statistic given they shipped just one across their opening five trips.
Spurs may be down in mid-table but they have one of the best attacks in the division, averaging 2.25 goals-per-game, 0.15 more than Liverpool’s 2.1.
With Liverpool starting to show some vulnerabilities at the back, Tottenham’s talented attackers may be able to take advantage and earn at least a point on Sunday.
Double Chance Tottenham or Draw - 11/10
Super Son always a threat for Tottenham
Tottenham star Heung-min Son has a fairly modest five goals in 13 Premier League games, but two of those have come in his last two games, while he has three in his last four outings across all competitions.
Going back further, Son has six goals and three assists in his last 10 games for club and country and looks to be close to rediscovering his best form.
The Spurs attacker has a decent record against Liverpool, netting in each of the last three meetings between these sides, and, taking the prices into account, he looks the standout anytime scorer bet.
Son Heung-Min Anytime Goalscorer - 9/5
Gravenberch a prime card candidate
Games between these two sides tend to boil over and a whopping 16 cards were dished out across the two Premier League meetings last season, including two reds.
As such, there are card candidates from both teams and Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch stands out as a big-price option.
The Dutchman has three yellow cards in his last five games in all competitions and averages 1.6 fouls-per-game in the league.
Ryan Gravenberch to be booked - 17/5
