Wednesday's football action will be highlighted by two more matches from the Champions League round of 16, with Paris Saint-Germain playing host to Real Sociedad and Bayern Munich travelling to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Lazio.

There are also five matches taking place in the Championship, a pair of games from the Scottish Premiership and a Serie A clash between European hopefuls Bologna and Fiorentina to take in.

Bet of the day

Paris Saint-Germain to win to nil versus Real Sociedad - 17/10

Paris Saint-Germain's route through to the knockout stages of this season's Champions League was far from smooth but since their qualification was assured they have won eight of 10 matches across all competitions.

Luis Enrique's side are now unbeaten in 16 games all told - a run that dates back to early November - while they recorded seven points and two clean sheets from their three home matches during the group stage.

Real Sociedad reached the knockout stages after topping their group ahead of Italian giants Inter Milan, but that may be starting to feel like a distant memory following a four-game winless run where they haven't even managed to score a goal.

Captain and top scorer Mikel Oyarzabal has missed Sociedad's last two games with a muscular problem and is a major doubt for the trip to Paris. If he is absent, then that will increase the chances of PSG winning this first leg and doing so without conceding.

Special of the day

Bet Builder: Aberdeen to win, both teams to score and Bojan Miovski to score any time - 19/5

Neil Warnock will be aiming to claim his first league victory as Aberdeen manager when his side welcome Motherwell to Pittodrie and the omens are good for the 75-year-old, as the Dons have won their last three meetings with their Scottish Premiership rivals.

The most recent clash between the pair ended in a 4-2 Aberdeen success back in November and goals have been a theme when these two sides have met of late, with both teams scoring in each of the last six head-to-heads.

Backing Aberdeen to win and both teams to score should form the backbone of this Bet Builder, while the icing on the top of that cake could be siding with in-form Dons striker Bojan Miovski to find the back of the net.

Miovski has struck seven goals in as many matches since the turn of the year, taking his tally for the season to 22 across all competitions, and only Lawrence Shankland of Hearts has registered more Premiership goals than the North Macedonia international.

Long shot of the day

Huddersfield to beat Sunderland - 13/5

Championship strugglers Huddersfield have shown signs of improvement under interim manager Jon Worthington, as they followed up a 4-0 home win over Sheffield Wednesday by twice leading at promotion contenders Southampton before succumbing to a 5-3 defeat.

Those results and performances will have boosted the Terriers' belief ahead of their clash with playoff-chasing Sunderland at the John Smith's Stadium, especially as they have only lost two of their last eight home games in the league.

Sunderland are looking to make the Championship playoffs for the second season running, but they will have to improve their away form if they are to achieve that feat, as they have only won one of their last 10 road games.

The Black Cats also lost 2-1 to Huddersfield when the two sides met at the Stadium of Light in November's reverse fixture and the Terriers could now complete the league double over the team from Wearside.
