Former World of Stardom Champion Tam Nakano will stay with STARDOM following Rossy Ogawa’s exit.
In a recent interview with Rizu Kimoto of Tokyo Sports, Tam Nakano commented on the recent controversies surrounding Rossy Ogawa and his contract situation. She shares similar frustrations as fellow STARDOM talent Maika towards the situation. “I’d rather entertain everyone with our Stardom battles than these old men’s battles. That’s why Tam will remain in Stardom. We will make it the best organization in the world. That is the goal of Chapter 2 of Tam Road,” she says. (translation via Google Translate)
Tam recently returned from a knee injury that took her out for months. Following her return to in-ring action, she promised to make up for the lost time by giving back to the STARDOM organization and its supporters. “During my absence, I was helped by Stardom’s fans and friends. I promised to repay the favor to Stardom, so no matter what happens to Stardom in the future, I feel that I must continue to protect Stardom,” she explains. Tam adds that another contributing factor to her decision to stay is that there is still much to accomplish. Due to the knee injury she sustained, Tam was forced to relinquish her World of Stardom Championship. Prior to relinquishing, she only defended the belt on three separate occasions.
The Twilight Dream also stated her intentions on her Twitter, saying, “Follow the road that sparkles in space. I’ll definitely make you happy!”
Tam’s next in line to challenge Maika for the World of Stardom belt she never lost in the near future. The details of the upcoming defense are yet to be disclosed publicly. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
