Tama Tonga has joined The Bloodline.
During the April 12 WWE SmackDown, The Bloodline’s Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso appeared in the ring to address Roman Reigns’ loss at WrestleMania 40. Heyman brought up Seth Rollins being Cody Rhodes’ shield and when it came time to strike Rhodes with a chair, Reigns gave in to temptation and was distracted by his lust for revenge. Reigns took his eye off the ball and Rhodes was ready to capitalize.
Heyman acknowledges Rhodes is the new WWE Champion, but Reigns is like a phoenix. Solo Sikoa then cut Heyman off and noted that winning and losing matters, so there are consequences for losing. Sikoa then pushed Heyman aside and focused on Jimmy Uso, who lost to Jey at WrestleMania.
Sikoa hugged Jimmy at first and told him he loves him. But when he went to leave, former NJPW star Tama Tonga ambushed Jimmy from behind and attacked. Sikoa delivered several Samoan Spikes to Jimmy to send a message.
Heyman reluctantly put his finger up in the air and attempted to call Roman Reigns, but Sikoa stomped on his phone. Tonga retrieved a chair for Sikoa, who wrapped it around Jimmy’s head and delivered a running hip attack.
Tonga, the son of Haku, spent the last several years with New Japan Pro-Wrestling where he was a seven-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, a four-time NEVER Openweight Champion, and a four-time NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champion. His last NJPW appearance took place in February.
WrestleZone will provide more information on Tonga’s debut as details become available.
