Member of the Senate of Nigeria, Aminu Tambuwal has mourned the loss of a former state chairman of PDP in Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma and Hajia Aya Dada Yar’Adua, mother of ex-president of Nigeria.
Tambuwal took to his social media page to express his hearty condolences to the family of the deceased.
He wrote: “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihir Raji’un.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, the former State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto and the former Executive Chairman of the Sokoto Central Market Board during my tenure as Governor who passed away last night at an hospital in Abuja after a prolonged illness.
“I had the privilege of knowing him, and I can attest to his exceptional qualities of commitment, dedication, honesty, and philanthropy. He was a devoted public servant who tirelessly served the people of Sokoto State.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the PDP family.
“May Allah SWT grant him eternal peace.”
Also, he joined other dignitaries, family and hundreds of mourners in Katsina for the funeral prayers of late Hajiya Aya Dada Yar’Adua, the matriarch of the Yar’Adua family and mother of former President Umaru Yar’Adua GCFR, who died at the age of 102.
According to the senator, he said: “Dada, as she was fondly called, was also the mother of the late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Sen. Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the current Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.
“Throughout her lifetime, she had lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
“We pray to Almighty Allah SWT to grant her aljannah firdaus.”
