Tami Roman Signs With Independent Artist Group

EXCLUSIVE: Independent Artists Group has signed Tami Roman, known for her work as an actress, TV host, entrepreneur and producer. IAG will represent Roman across all areas of her career.

Roman’s breakout performance was in MTV’s The Real World: Los Angeles in 1993, serving as a launching pad for her lengthy career in Hollywood.

Her most recent work includes a series regular role in the hit BET+ series The Ms. Pat Show as the titular character’s sister, “Denise Ford.” Roman has appeared across the show’s four seasons; the latest was released on May 23.

“Joining IAG marks an exciting new chapter in my career,” Roman shared in a statement with Deadline. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team to explore new avenues and continue to push the boundaries of my craft.”

In addition to her work with comedian Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams, she currently stars and produces the BET+ series Haus of Vicious, which is set to return with a second season on September 19. She plays fashion designer “Chantel Vivian” opposite co-stars Redaric Williams and Erica Peeples. Additionally, she will continue to play London Duncan-Grant in BET’s The Family Business for Season 6 and as host and consulting producer on MTV’s Caught in the Act: Unfaithful which renewed for a third season in July.

Additional executive producing and acting credits include two BET+ projects: the holiday film Whatever it Takes (2023) and the thriller Who’s Cheating Who (2024).

Up next, she will star in the MegaMind Media film Dying to Be Famous from BET+, a thriller she also produced.
