After a public plea, the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has lifted a three-year ban on controversial Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that the association had suspended Nkechi Blessing and her colleague, Lege Miami, in 2021 after they were both involved in a social media spat over Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha, who defiled the foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne Princess.
While Miami apologized, Nkechi Blessing stood unperturbed.
However, in a recent development, the movie star knelt before Bolaji Amusan, the TAMPAN president better known as Mr Latin, seeking forgiveness for her actions at The Celebrities Entertainment Award in Canada.
Blessing, in the viral video, acknowledged TAMPAN’s significant impact on her career, expressing gratitude and remorse.
“I am deeply sorry for all I did. I am so sorry. I beg you from the bottom of my heart to please forgive me. I appreciate the industry. You all made me who I am today. I would not be anyone if not because of you,” the 35-year -old said in a now viral video
Reacting, the actress’ senior colleagues, Amusan and Odunlade Adekola took to the stage to embrace Blessing. Adekola praised Blessing for acknowledging her mistakes.
Amusan welcomed Blessing back into the association, commending her “courage” in a post on Instagram.
“I commend and admire your courage… welcome on board!!!” he wrote.
