Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas

Taraba Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Tuesday, flagged off the training of youths in block-making using the newly acquired 54 Hydraform machines.

The flag-off ceremony was held at Government Primary School Jouro Yinu in Arodo-Kola Local Government Area of the state.

The governor said the initiative aimed at rebuilding school infrastructure and was a significant stride toward youth empowerment and infrastructural development.

He noted that the move would revolutionise the state’s construction sector while providing vital skills to young people, highlighting that the project fulfilled his administration’s commitment to good governance and quality education.

He said, “This flag-off of the training for Taraba youths on the use of the newly acquired 54 Hydraform block-making machines marks a pivotal step in transforming the way buildings, particularly schools, are constructed in the state.

“The Hydraform machines, imported from Hydraform International in South Africa, are state-of-the-art equipment designed to produce durable blocks through eco-friendly and cost-effective methods.

“These blocks will be used to construct modern, well-equipped schools across all 16 Local Government Areas of Taraba State.”

The governor also emphasised that the completed schools would offer conducive learning environments and be built to serve future generations.
