Tarlee recently found herself in a full circle.
The 2024 HER event proved to be quite a memorable one for Tarlee as she outmaneuvered five other women to win the first-ever Victoria Classic, and later celebrate with Victoria herself. The memories didn’t just stop there, though.
While speaking with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Tarlee reflected on a notable backstage moment that brought her face-to-face with one of her heroes, Vix Crow (aka Alicia Fox).
“I was so nervous to talk to her,” Tarlee said. “She was one of the main people I was like, what do I say when I meet her? Do I just like shake her hand be like ‘Hey, I’m Tarlee’ or do I tell her my whole story? It was actually Victoria that I was talking to, and she encouraged me to go talk to [Alicia]. So I went up to Alicia and said the whole thing. I was like ‘I just want to let you know that like I’m a really big fan. I became a wrestler because of you’ and all this jazz. Again, she was absolutely amazing.
“She was like ‘Oh my God, let me go grab my camera. I want to get a photo of us.’ And I was like ‘Okay sure, no worries.’ So we had a little photo shoot backstage,” Tarlee continued. “It was adorable. She followed me on Instagram. She re-shared one of my photos on Instagram, and every now and then she’ll pop up in my notifications commenting on something. It’s still just like so bizarre. People always say don’t meet your heroes, but genuinely, met my hero, and she was everything I needed her to be. She was fantastic.”
Much like Tarlee, Alicia Fox found herself on the winning side at HER. In Fox’s case, her victory came after she pinned her long-time friend, and the producer of the event, Mickie James.
