Tasha Steelz suffered two injuries in 2023.
The TNA star missed seven months of action last year, including a six-month lay-off with injury in March last year. She returned full-time in December last year, and has quickly reinstated herself as a top star in the Knockouts Division.
Speaking on Busted Open (via Post Wrestling), Tasha Steelz revealed how heartbreaking it was to suffer the back-to-back injuries.
“It was nerve-wracking (being out of action). It was just heartbreaking for me. When you suffer an injury, any injury, it doesn’t matter what it is, how big or small, when you suffer an injury and you know you have to sit back at home and recover, you wanna recover tomorrow, and you wanna recover tomorrow, you’re like, alright, I’m good to go… I believe I was sitting out for like a good six months and then I came back at IMPACT 1000 last year and it felt so good to get that reaction in New York.”
Tasha Steelz Suffered Another Injury Just Months Later
In the same interview, Steelz spoke about suffering a second injury just months later. She called the arena a “cursed building”, but noted that her “hustler’s mentality” made her come back to TNA stronger.
“I went out again because a couple months later, we did our loop in Windsor which is the cursed building! And then I went out again which was even more heartbreaking for me because I’m just coming back and just to go out again from an injury, it sucked and it’s just a waiting game. But at the same time, if you have that hustler’s mentality and you have that hunger, you just sit back and are like, there’s other things you can do to get yourself back in that main event spot or get yourself back to have a spot period and that’s just improving… Up your training in the gym, up your training in the ring, get yourself healthy, 10 times healthier and then you just go out there and you prove your spot and that’s what I did.”
