Taylor Strecker will never forget her “traumatic” interview with Giuliana and Bill Rancic.
“Giuliana Rancic was a nightmare,” the “Taste of Taylor” host told Page Six exclusively at the Dear Media IRL event at Center415 in New York City on Saturday.
Strecker, who has been interviewing celebrities on her podcast and previous radio show for more than a decade, explained that she only chatted with Giuliana “as a favor” to someone on her team who wanted to do a fashion segment with the former “E! News” anchor.
Taylor Strecker talked to Page Six at the Dear Media IRL event on Saturday. Page Six The “Taste of Taylor” podcast host spoke about a past experience with Giuliana Rancic. Angelica Marie PhotographyThe SiriusXM breakout, 41, knew her Q&A with Giuliana, 50, and Bill, 53, was “not even going to air,” so she admittedly “didn’t prepare” as well as she normally would have.
“It’s not going anywhere, so I guess that’s not really fair to her,” she said.
However, Strecker claimed that when the “Giuliana & Bill” stars came in to the studio, they were working through a disagreement.

“You know when a couple is fighting and you’re, like, in the middle of it? That’s what happened,” she told us. “I was in the middle of a wasp’s nest.”
The internet personality clarified that the Rancics were “clearly not in a bad place” in their marriage but simply “like any couple having a fight.”
“She was almost, like, using me to take potshots at him,” she alleged. “It was the most uncomfortable podcast ever, and then she went and complained about me to the other interviews that she had for the rest of the day, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, Giuliana, you’re obsessed with me!’ It was traumatic to say the least.”
Strecker called the Q&A “traumatic.” Angelica Marie Photography The internet personality raved that her favorite interview was with Taylor Swift, pictured here in 2008, when the singer launched her music career. Getty ImagesStrecker did not share when the interview occurred, and a rep for Giuliana and Bill did not return Page Six’s request for comment.
While the podcaster had an unpleasant experience with the couple, she raved about talking to Taylor Swift when the singer was “brand-new on the country scene.”
“Nobody told me I was interviewing her,” she told Page Six. “I had no point of reference for her, and she knew it. She knew I had no idea who she was, but she handheld me through the interview. She was so sweet!”
Strecker still has a signed photo Swift gave her. Page Six The former radio host joined other Dear Media personalities at Dear Media IRL. Angelica Marie PhotographyStrecker gushed that Swift, now 34, signed a photo for her that read, “To Taylor, who looks like Natalie Portman, from the other Taylor.”
“Hands down best interview ever, and I don’t even remember it!” she said while laughing.
The Massachusetts native has never been one to shy away from calling out celebrities, having previously dubbed Eric Stonestreet the “worst guest” she had on her show after the “Modern Family” alum allegedly made a snide comment to her for not asking enough about a product he was promoting.
Other podcasters who headlined the event included Shannon Ford, Amanda Hirsch and Jenny Mollen. Angelica Marie Photography “Podcasting is very, like, all ships rising at the same time; it’s very community, sorority vibes, and I love it,” Strecker gushed. Other Dear Media hosts in attendance included Amanda Hirsch from “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” Shannon Ford from “Probably a Podcast,” Aurora Culpo from “Barely Filtered,” Eyal Booker from “It’s Not That Deep,” Lauryn Bosstick from “The Skinny Confidential,” Kennedy Eurich from “Dumber Blonde” and Jenny Mollen from “All the Fails.”
“I love getting together with all the other podcasters,” Strecker told us. “Some of them I’ve been friends with forever, and other people I see from afar but I’m so excited to meet them. Podcasting is very, like, all ships rising at the same time; it’s very community, sorority vibes, and I love it. It’s so genuine, and it’s not bulls–t.”
