Taylor Swift is a billionaire.
The pop singer, 34, is “the most famous newcomer” to the billionaire’s club, Forbes announced Tuesday.
“The most famous newcomer is, of course, Taylor Swift,” Forbes wrote, “whose record-breaking, five-continent Eras Tour is the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue.”
The business magazine also added that the “Karma” singer is the first musician to hit billionaire status based on her music and performances alone.
According to Forbes, Swift’s Eras Tour, which spanned across five continents, is the first tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue.
The tour, which kicked off in March 2023, was the highest selling tour worldwide.
The announcement of Swift’s billionaire status comes just one day after the Grammy winner attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she won six awards, including the Artist of the Year Award.
Swift addressed fans in a pre-recorded video, thanking them for their support.
“To the fans, it’s completely up to you to choose how you spend your time,” Swift said, “what concerts you want to go to, what music do you want to make the soundtrack to your life, and to anyone who has included me in those choices, I’m so so so thankful for that.”
