According to Forbes, the “Bad Blood” singer, 34, has surpassed Rihanna on the list with a net worth estimated at $1.6 billion.

The financial magazine reported that Swift obtained the top spot due mainly to her music and live shows.

The pop star’s fortune includes $600 million amassed from royalties and touring and a music catalog worth an estimated $600 million.

Swift also has about $125 million in real estate with her five homes across the US.

Rihanna, 36, is sitting right behind the “Cruel Summer” singer, with an estimated net worth of $1.4 million thanks to her successful Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty lines.

Forbes reported that Swift first reached billionaire status in October 2023 due to her sold-out Eras Tour and her music catalog.

The Grammy winner’s Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023, is the highest-selling tour worldwide, earning more than $1 billion, according to Rolling Stone.

In December 2023, the outlet reported that Swift sold about 4.3 million tickets at an average price of $238.

The demand for tickets to the show was so high that members of Congress questioned Ticketmaster’s hold on concert sales.

Not only is Swift doing numbers on tour but she is also breaking records with the release of her albums.

In 2021, Swift began releasing re-records of her first five albums so she could regain the ownership rights to them after Scooter Braun sold her masters for more than $300 million in a controversial deal.

The “Shake It Off” singer’s newest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and stayed atop the charts for 15 weeks after its April release.

The album has sold more copies than any other project this year so far, with more than 2.4 million copies in pure sales in the first half of 2024 alone.
