A TBS Championship match has been added to the upcoming AEW Grand Slam event in Australia. After weeks of trying to convince Mercedes Moné to defend her title against her, Harley Cameron has herself a championship match.
On the Feb. 8 episode of Collision, Harley had her Halftime Harley show where she sang the Mone Train with Mercedes The Puppet. She was quickly interrupted by Mone herself. As Mone says no one is here for Harley and she is nothing but a loser,
Harley continued to sing and called Mone cun—-ning. Mone says she is not sure why Cameron wants a title match when she isn’t on her level and the Mercedes puppet can wrestle better than her. Harley taunts Mone a bit more saying she just wants to have a title match in her home country. FEEL THE WRATH as Harley clocks Mone, knocking her out of the win. Mone finally agrees to the match at Grand Slam and says she will embarrass her in front of her friends and family.
Elsewhere on Collision, Thunder Rosa was walking through the backstage area when she crossed paths with Megan Bayne. Rosa tried to welcome Bayne but the newcomer had nothing to say. Rosa took on Penelope Ford later in the night.
Rosa defeats Ford with the Tijuana Bomb in her home state of Texas. Bayne’s music hits after Rosa wins and she makes her way out to the ring much to the chagrin of Rosa. Rosa taunts Bayne as she enters the ring and Ford attacks Rosa from behind. Bayne lifts up a limp Rosa and gives her an F5. Bayne stands tall, laying out the former champion.
The current AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May had a Glamour Exhibition Match. This was a 30-second squash match against Shay KarMichael. After the match, May took out a black cloak and lipstick and adorned it on KarMichael as though she was Toni Storm. Luther returned and delivered something to May on a tray, that something was the shoe that May used to attack Storm last year. By the time May turned around, KarMichael was replaced by Storm who went after May.
May was able to get away through the crowd before Storm could take her out on the steel steps. The two meet at Grand Slam on Feb. 15.
