Tell Me Lies actress Grace Van Patten is set to take on the role of Amanda Knox in a new limited series. The limited series, which will be produced by Knox, will be “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself truly free.” If you don’t know the story, Knox and her then boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were arrested after Meredith was found murdered in their apartment. The two were convicted of killing her in 2009, had their convictions overturned in 2011 and were found guilty again in a retrial. They were eventually exonerated in 2015 by Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation. Keep reading to find out more… Variety reports that the series will have 8 episodes. No release date has been set at this time. Margaret Qualley was originally attached to star as Knox in the Hulu limited series, but backed out back in April 2024. At the time, she cited “scheduling conflicts” as her reason for departure from the show. Stay tuned as we learn more!
