That has made for some rather interesting moments, including several that have taken place in front of the camera. CM Punk made a surprise return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. Punk would go on to wrestle his first televised match at the 2024 Royal Rumble, where he suffered a torn tricep, which will put him on the shelf for about nine months. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins discussed Punk’s injury during an appearance on Wrestle Radio Australia, saying “I don’t want to say I told you so”. Rollins went on to say that the line of “fragile mind, fragile body, fragile ego” rings true about Punk. The two had been teasing a feud before Punk’s injury.
