IMG Credit: WWEThat’s one. We are less than a week away from Survivor Series but there are other shows that WWE needs to focus on as well. This includes both upcoming premium live events as well as other specials, one of which is less than a month away. WWE is going to go out of its way to make that one a big show and they took an important step in that direction this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Well Done: This Match And These Wrestlers Were The “Talk Of The Locker Room” After AEW Full Gear
WWE has officially confirmed that Cody Rhodes will defending the WWE Title against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14. Rhodes issued the challenge for the match last week on SmackDown but Owens would not agree to the match on that date. This is the first match that has been confirmed for the show, which will be the first Saturday Night’s Main vent since 2008.

Opinion: This is the match that has been teased for a few weeks now and it makes sense to have the two of them go at it on a fairly big stage. What matters the most is that the show is looking special. The previous re-incarnation of Saturday Night’s Main Event never felt special, leaving this show looking all that much more important. If the rest of the card lives up to the hype, we could be in for a heck of a show.
