EXCLUSIVE: Actress, writer and director Molly Gordon has signed with WME for representation.
Gordon can currently be seen portraying Claire in the second season of the FX/Hulu Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series, The Bear, created by Christopher Storer. She stars opposite Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White. Both Storer and White are also WME clients.
The Searchlight Pictures film Theater Camp (2023)—a feature-length adaptation of the 2020 short film of the same name— served as Gordon and Nick Lieberman’s directorial debuts. Additionally, Gordon and Lieberman penned the screenplay alongside Ben Platt and Noah Galvin with Gordon co-starring opposite Galvin, Platt, Jimmy Tatro, Edebiri and Amy Sedaris. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where the ensemble won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award.
Additionally, Gordon starred in Emma Seligman’s indie feature, Shiva Baby, which won the John Cassavetes Award at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
Gordon’s other credits include Netflix’s You People, Max Borenstein’s and Adam McKay’s HBO series Winning Time, Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart, Gene Supnitsky and Lee Eisenberg’s Good Boys, Ben Falcone’s Life of the Party, TNT’s Animal Kingdom and the Hulu series Ramy. She has also appeared in the independent features Am I Ok?, directed by Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allyne, and Andrew Bujalski’s There There.
On stage, Gordon made her Off-Broadway debut in 2019’s MCC’s Alice By Heart. The musical, featuring a book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson, lyrics by Sater, and music by Duncan Sheik, starred Gordon and Colton Ryan.
