Guardiola, whose contract was recently extended at Manchester City, is receiving praise for his star striker.
Since his arrival at Manchester City, Erling Haaland has filled his trophy cabinet. With notably two English championship titles and a Champions League won in his first season in the Eastlands, the Norwegian striker can only be pleased to have chosen to join the citizen ranks in the summer of 2022.
However, if such successes were possible with the Skyblues, the “cyborg” is well aware that he also owes them in large part to his coach Pep Guardiola. As part of an interview given to Sky Sports this Friday, the Scandinavian striker praised the impact of the Spanish technician on the club’s results.
Haaland praises Guardiola
“When you look at what he’s done for the club, his record isn’t bad, is it? He therefore has all my confidence. And if he tells me something, I better do it because in the end, he knows best what to do. Everyone knows it. Did he meet my expectations when I chose City? Yes, I expected exactly that. He’s the best manager in the world and we all know it. Probably the best in history. I expected a lot from him and he lived up to it every second,” said the Leeds native.
Note that City made it official this Friday
Guardiola’s contract extension. The 53-year-old technician has signed up for two additional years, extending his lease with the Mancunian club until June 2027.
