Laure Boulleau thinks that PSG still has a chance of keeping Kylian Mbappé in its squad.
Kylian Mbappé will be at the end of his contract next summer. And the strong trend concerning him is a departure. Many observers agree that he has addressed the issue in Paris and that his transfer to Real is now inevitable.
“Even Mbappé doesn’t know what he’s going to do”
However, Parisian leaders must give up. Obviously not. They can continue to work behind the scenes hoping that the outcome will be favorable to them. And, they would also benefit from doing everything to ensure that the results on the ground are convincing. Because these could condition Mbappé’s decision. At least that’s what a certain Laure Boulleau thinks.
Speaking on Canal+, the former French international declared: “The Champions League campaign could perhaps allow him to set goals. When he saw Erling Haaland win the C1, it stung his pride”. So going far on the continental scene would be the best way for PSG to maintain its star.
Boulleau added by emphasizing that Paris has another solid argument in its favor: “The Olympics are important, and if he stays at PSG it will be easier to do them. Not sure that at Real, we would accept it.”
Boulleau doesn’t get wet
Finally, the columnist concluded by indicating that she had not “today, no reading regarding what Mbappé intends to do”. “It’s a scenario that we have already experienced. What’s quite funny is that this season he has more arguments to stay. Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke about it. It is at the heart of the project. A sports project. I think even he doesn’t really know (what he’s going to do, editor’s note).”
