Matt Cardona is starting a new chapter.
In a tweet, Cardona shared a video that highlighted the highs and lows of his career, dating back to his WWE days. He noted that, as he was coming off a torn pec, he would effectively be starting over. Cardona called himself “The Complete” Matt Cardona as he embraced the challenge.
Cardona’s post also stated that while he had been counted out, he always came back, and he would never quit.
This was just supposed to be my comeback from injury video, but it’s so much more than that…It’s my career video…My LIFE video.
The office has counted me out. The fans have counted me out. I’ve even counted myself out! But I always come back. It’s not over until I quit…and… pic.twitter.com/mxD5RB3PQP
Matt Cardona Has Done It All
Cardona has had a successful run on the independent scene since his WWE release in 2020. He has often been linked to the company, but he has yet to make a comeback.
In a recent interview with Brandon Walker of Rasslin‘, Matt Cardona said that he had done it all on the independent scene, and it was time to go to a major TV company.
“When I got released from WWE four years ago, my whole goal wasn’t ‘what can I do to get back there.’ I knew I had to forget about WWE, forget about AEW, and focus on myself. Rebuild and rebrand. I think I’ve successfully done that. Now it’s time, coming back from this injury, I’ve done everything there is to do on the indies. Won all the titles. There are titles in my closet right now, I don’t even know what promotion they are for. Been there, done that. Now is the time to go to a major TV company. I don’t know if Major TV Company God has the same ring to it as Indie God, but we’ll figure it out,” Matt Cardona said. [H/T Fightful.com]
