The Rock appeared at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 7 and delivered a promo that was heavily censored on television due to frequent use of F-bombs. After the show, The CW Network shared the uncensored version of his speech on YouTube.

During his promo, The Rock responded to fans chanting his name, joking that they shouldn’t get him emotional. He also addressed criticism for being friendly with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere. He told fans to enjoy the journey, reminding them that he was always planning several steps ahead. He dismissed the criticism by asserting his status as the “Final Boss” and urged everyone to accept the ride he was taking them on.

“Don’t f*** around and get me emotional up in this thing. What did they say? ‘You can’t be nice to Cody. Don’t be nice to Cody. Don’t drink tequila with Cody.’ Oh, f***. At the end of the day, let us all remind them that The Rock is the Final Boss, thinking 20 steps ahead, so the best thing for them to do is to know their role, shut their mouth, and enjoy the ride that The Rock is taking them on.”

Throughout the promo, The Rock talked about time constraints, stating that he only had two minutes left but planned to keep going. He laughed about making “them” nervous and apologized for his language near the end.

“It says we got about two minutes left. They say we got two minutes, I’m like, f*** all that. We’re gonna go all night. Oh, they’re sweating. It’s okay, it’s okay. Alright, I’m sorry for the language, I apologize.”

The Rock also reflected on his early days as a wrestler in developmental, when he performed under the name Flex Kavana. He called it one of the worst wrestling names ever and acknowledged the importance of depending on the crowd during those formative years.

“I have been down this road. I wrestled in Memphis as Flex Kavana. I know, most f***** up professional wrestling name of all time. I know what it’s like, but I know what it’s like to depend on the crowd.”

Fans are excited about The Rock’s bold, no-holds-barred promo, praising the blend of raw emotion, nostalgia, and his expected attitude at NXT New Year’s Evil. However, it remains to be seen when The Great One will make his next return to television.

Did The Rock’s uncensored promo take his return to the next level, or was it a bit too over-the-top? Share your thoughts in the comments below and let us know if you’re ready to see The Rock’s “Final Boss” energy in the ring again!
