The next movie from Oscar-winning duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, an untitled feature at Universal, will finally open in theaters on June 12, 2026.
As is standard for the Daniels, the whole project is hush hush.
The Everything Everywhere All at Once filmmakers inked a five-year exclusive pact with Universal back in August 2022.
Last year, Everything Everywhere All at Once, won seven Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director for Daniels, Best Actress Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor Ke Huy Quan and Best Supporting Actress Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie was the aorta for arthouse cinemas recovering from the pandemic closures in the spring of 2022, becoming A24’s highest grossing movie ever at $77.1M domestic, $143.4M WW.
Currently, there are no other rival wide entries on June 12, 2026. Universal always had this date on hold for an event title. Currently, there are a lot of untitled holds by the major studios for dates in summer 2026. The one hard dated title is Paramount/SpinMaster/Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol 3 on July 31, 2026.
