The dirty trick that Joshua Kimmich has in store for signing for FC Barcelona!

Times are tough at Bayern Munich. Beaten 1-0 by Werder Bremen, the German club is now 7 points behind the leader, Bayer Leverkusen (with one game less on Xabi Alonso’s team). A small crisis for the Recorder and from which Joshua Kimmich (28 years old) does not escape. Having a far from close relationship with his coach Thomas Tuchel, he remains the starter (22 matches, 1 goal and 6 offerings) but is delivering a rather mixed exercise for the moment. While his contract ends in June 2025, several clubs are already in the running.

Among them, we find Paris Saint-Germain which is looking for a new midfielder and particularly appreciates the German player even if the latter rather publicly opened the door to an extension at the microphone of Sky Sports Germany : “Actually I only focus on Bayern Munich. For me, my future was not a subject at all this winter. I think we will meet one day and the club will come to me. Everything that is discussed will be between us… and obviously not with you.” The Ile-de-France residents are not alone in this matter, notably Newcastle and FC Barcelona.

Joshua Kimmich could wait until 2025 to go to Barça

Far from being able to compete financially with these other teams, FC Barcelona is in the running and could benefit from an advantage if the player decides to delay. Indeed, Bild affirms that the former Stuttgart, who is under contract until June 2025, could as well leave this summer as stay until the end of his lease at Bayern Munich and therefore leave freely in a year and a half. A scenario which would facilitate a change of club and which would above all offer him more options in the transfer window since he would be the sole master of his decision.

If Joshua Kimmich leaves this summer, Bayern Munich will have transfer demands that seem unattainable for the Blaugrana. However, the player particularly appreciates this destination and has even had discussions with the Catalan club in the past without it going beyond this stage. The possibility that he forces his departure for Catalonia this summer cannot be ruled out, but does not seem current as explained by Sport. Preferential option for the player in the event of departure, FC Barcelona will therefore be very attentive to the evolution of this file over the coming months. For Bayern Munich, the possibility of not receiving a single penny from the departure of Joshua Kimmich is starting to gain weight…
