This Friday, the BBC Sport has revealed the name of the fastest Premier League player this season. When it comes to top speed, Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven comes out on top. Indeed, the Dutch central defender, who was already the fastest during Euro 2024, was flashed this season at 37.1 km/h.

Behind him, we find Carlos Forb (Wolverhampton), with a top speed of 36.6 km/h. Then come Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest, 35.9 km/h), Erling Haaland (Man City, 35.7 km/h), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal, 35.6 km/h) and Alejandro Garnacho (Man Utd, 35.5 km/h). There BBC adds that the Premier League player with the most sprints is Anthony Gordon (Newcastle, 187 sprints).
