Things are moving at the head of Genoa! Formerly managed by the 777 Partners group, the Italian club has just changed hands in favor of Romanian billionaire Dan Șucu who bought the majority of shares in the current 13th in the Serie A ranking. The 61-year-old businessman , also owner of Rapid Bucharest, therefore extends its influence on European football with the purchase of Genoa.

“The Genoa Cricket and Football Club announces that, following the resolution of a capital increase of 45,356,262 euros, including 5,356,262 euros free of charge and an additional 40,000,000 euros paid on December 14, the Board of administration met and approved the offer presented by the Romanian entrepreneur Dan Șucu»wrote the Genoa club in a press release to announce the news. With this acquisition, the club wishes “strengthen your sporting ambition”.
