Poorly ranked in the Champions League with three wins and three defeats before the last two days of the league phase, Real Madrid is taking cover by dominating Leipzig (2-0 at half-time) , this Wednesday evening at the Bernabéu. The Merengues benefited from a high-class double from Rodrygo, definitely in great form, since the Brazilian winger scored a goal and gave an assist last Sunday against Las Palmas.

Rodrygo opened the scoring on an opening from Vinicius extended by Jude Bellingham (23rd) before doubling the lead with a magnificent curling shot on which the German goalkeeper Janis Blaswich was unable to do anything (34th). Enough to put Casa Blanca in orbit while Vinicius did not make much difference and Kylian Mbappé was not found in front of goal by his teammates.

Note that Ferland Mendy is the only other French international holder with Mbappé against the RBL. Aurélien Tchouameni, who missed the last LaLiga match, started on the bench (Raul Asencio forms the central hinge with Antonio Rüdiger) and Eduardo Camavinga is unavailable after a muscle injury.
