Joan Vassos has been named the first Golden Bachelorette! ABC just announced that the 61-year-old – who competed on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor – will take on the leading lady duties for the Fall 2024 season. She ended up having to self-eliminate during Gerry Turner‘s season due to a family emergency, but many considered her a frontrunner while she was on the show. The Golden Bachelor spinoff is set to air in the fall on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. This new season will follow the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, starring Jenn Tran, which will debut on July 8. The Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and his winner, Theresa Nist, did not end up working out. They announced their divorce just three months after getting married on TV.
