AS Saint-Etienne dominated AJ Auxerre this Saturday as part of the 7th day of Ligue 1 (3-1). Not without a hat-trick from Davitsashvili.

The Greens have come a long way. Defeated 8-0 in Nice two weeks ago, the Stéphanois rectified the situation in Nantes eight days ago (2-2), before stocking up on points this Saturday as part of the 7e act of the French championship.

Facing AJ Auxerre, who remained on a great victory over Brest (3-0), the residents of Geoffroy-Guichard knew how to make the powder speak. This is thanks to their Georgian international Davitashvili, author of a nice hat-trick to ensure the success of his team (15e54e86e).

From the 17e at 12e place

The Icaunais responded well with Bair (74e), after a first goal denied to Sinayoko for an offside judged to the millimeter which certainly weighed heavily in the balance (51e) – three minutes before the ASSE break goal.

So here is Saint-Etienne credited with a second victory this season, and seven points on the clock to provisionally reach 12e elite level, ahead of the Auxerrois, 14e with six points. Enough to end the weekend outside the red zone.
