The Gunns are back, as they made their return on the February 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
The Hurt Syndicate came to the ring on Wednesday night, and MVP hyped up Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, who won the AEW World Tag Team Championship by beating Private Party on the January 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite. MVP stated that they were open for business, as they were ready to face any challengers.
The Gunns (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) then made their return and confronted the champions.
The Gunns stated that they had been waiting for two years to get a rematch for the tag team titles. Austin said that the only reason that Benjamin and Lashley had the titles was because they had been absent. Colten made it clear that they wanted to take the championships back. MVP noted that he respected The Gunns’ father, Billy Gunn. He went on to accept their challenge, and he said that Lashley and Benjamin would defend the titles against them next week.
