Matt and Jeff Hardy want all the gold.
WWE NXT Roadblock featured a trio of titles matches, one of which pitted The Hardy Boyz against Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the TNA Tag Team Championship. Ultimately, The Hardy Boyz retained their respective titles, courtesy of a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on Frazer. Looking ahead, Matt and Jeff Hardy are now craving a taste of Fraxiom’s NXT Tag Team titles.
“I just have a statement and a question,” Jeff told Sarah Schreiber in a WWE exclusive following their match. “I mean, their human hearts are more like rocket boosters. That’s the fastest team I’ve ever been in the ring with. And my question is, do we get a shot at the NXT tag titles now?”
“[Axiom and Frazer] are incredible. I cannot put them over enough,” Matt added. They are amazing. They are the NXT Tag Team Champions for very specific reasons because they’re incredible. But tonight, we were defending the TNA World Tag Team Titles and we were able to retain them. We did beat them. Unfortunately, the NXT titles weren’t on the line. Maybe next time the NXT titles will be on the line because that is something the Hardys do not have on their list of gold.”
Elsewhere at Roadblock, TNA X-Division Champion Moose challenged Oba Femi, albeit unsuccessfully, for the NXT Championship. Both of these aforementioned title matches come as a result of the multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling.
