Like Florian Sotoca, the Sang et Or did not hide their regrets after their elimination in overtime in Fribourg.

And Lens collapsed. While Franck Haise’s men seemed to have done the hard part by leading 2-0 at the break, they were finally caught in added time before losing 3-2 after extra time.

Forced into a draw in the first leg (0-0), the Sang et Or were eliminated in the Europa League play-offs and Florian Sotoca had his head in the bag at the end of the match. “We had a great first period. We deserve to lead 2-0. We pressed and played ball. Afterwards they played their game, they pressed, there were long balls for their size and we conceded a goal in the last minute. It’s football, even if it hurts your head”he confided after the meeting.

“In the first half, we deserved to qualify but they did what was necessary in the second half and we were unable to respond. I don’t think it played out mentally. We had two 3-1 balls. They scored in the last minute, it hurts because we wanted to continue the adventure”he added.
